WoodHaven Cherry Classic Crystal Friction Call User Guide

At Parish Tactical, we put together this user guide to help you get the most out of your WoodHaven Custom Calls Cherry Classic crystal friction call. It covers conditioning the crystal surface, breaking in the striker, producing yelps, clucks, purrs, and cutts, and keeping your call protected from moisture and oils. Give it a read before turkey season and reach out to our team with any questions.

Conditioning the Surface: Before each use, lightly condition the crystal playing surface with sandpaper or a conditioning stone, using small circular strokes. Wipe away dust with a clean cloth before running the call.

Breaking In the Striker: Lightly sand the tip of the striker to expose fresh wood. Hold the striker at a slight angle and apply consistent, light pressure to dial in your yelps, clucks, purrs, and cutts.

Maintenance & Storage: Keep the crystal surface and striker tip free of moisture, oils, and skin contact. Store the call in a dry place and recondition the surface whenever the sound becomes muted or slick.
