Magpul MOE X-22 Stock Installation Guide

At Parish Tactical, we put together this installation guide to help you fit the Magpul MOE X-22 stock to your Ruger 10/22. It covers removing the factory stock, seating the action in the MOE X-22, torquing the takedown screw, checking barrel clearance, and confirming a secure fit before live fire. Read it fully before installation and reach out to our team with any questions.

Remove the Factory Stock: Clear the rifle and verify it is unloaded. Loosen and remove the takedown screw on the underside of the factory stock, then lift the barreled action out of the stock.

Seat the Action in the MOE X-22: Lower the barreled action into the Magpul MOE X-22 stock, making sure the recoil lug and action seat fully and evenly into the stock channel.

Torque & Check Clearance: Reinstall and snug the takedown screw to a firm, even tension without overtightening. Confirm the barrel floats freely with no contact along the barrel channel.

Confirm Fit Before Live Fire: Cycle the action by hand, check that all controls function normally, and verify a secure, rattle-free fit before taking the rifle to the range.
